Economy hits Barcelona hotels
Barcelona hotels have been hit hard by the downturn in the economy. According to figures from Deloitte, revenue per available room dropped by 22.5% during the first nine months of 2009 thanks to a fall in tourists from key markets, the UK in particular.
This compares with an overall decline of 16.8% in the Eurozone and 19.2% across Europe.
