Quick tip to find parking at Barcelona Airport fast

If you’re flying out of Barcelona and getting to the airport by car then you’ll need to leave it in the airport car park. Save yourself time by following this tried and tested advice.

Once the South Terminal has opened the situation may be different, but it can be relatively hard to find a parking space at the airport for terminals A, B and C.

If you’re departing from Terminals A or C, head straight for the multi-storey car park adjacent to the terminal. When you arrive there you should either see a sign telling you it is full, or it will tell you how many spaces are available on each floor. Ideally you want the second floor, as you access the walkway directly from here, but otherwise you’ll just have to park where you can.

When you get to one of the floors that has spaces you should look directly ahead. Suspended from the ceiling are small lights that are either red or hopefully green – drive along until to a green light and then turn into the corridor.

Once again you should see red and green lights suspended above each parking place. Drive to a green one and you have your spot – much easier than driving up and down until you find one, which you still must do in the Terminal B car park.

Note that Terminal C is used for the Barcelona-Madrid shuttle service and during week days can be very full – often you’ll have to go up onto the roof to find a place.
